Earlier this year, we were delighted to receive the news…
…that we had been successful in securing the design commission for a new luxury villa development in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), following a highly competitive selection process.
For the competition bid, in a very short timeframe, we worked hard to understand the people at the heart of the project - the clients.
We asked questions, engaged and listened, and following the process, we were delighted that this had been successfully conveyed through our submission:
“They simply did everything so well and stood out head and shoulders above the others. If they continue to bring that kind of passion, attention to detail and solid communication to the project, they will be our valued partner until the christening. While we really like their concept and it wins the design portion in its own right, our decision to select BLOCK NINE ARCHITECTS is as much for everything else they demonstrated as it is for the design itself.”
It means so much to us when we receive client feedback like this.
The project is sited on a challenging yet spectacular hillside location, affording uninterrupted panoramic views over a captivating turquoise bay (which really does take your breath away).
Our design proposal strategically responds to the topographical constraints of the site, elegantly merging the timeless principles of traditional Caribbean vernacular architecture with a considered, contemporary design philosophy.
The result is a structure that is simultaneously rooted in local context and innovative in its execution.
Now, we're focused on pushing this one-of-a-kind design ahead.
We're committed to delivering a special home for our clients that captures the magic of its truly unique setting.
P.S. None of this would have been possible without the creativity and hard work of our project leader, the Associate Director Stephanie Else, who is bringing these ideas to life so beautifully.
