Matthew Gibson

Senior Architectural Technologist

Matthew graduated with First-Class Honours in Architectural Technology from Edinburgh Napier University in 2014 and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technology (CIAT).

He began his career at a well-established commercial practice in Edinburgh in 2015, where he worked with a range of high-profile clients across the commercial sector. His career has since spanned both architectural practice and property development, allowing him to work both nationally and internationally for private and public-sector clients.  Matthew has led large project teams in the delivery of architectural, interior, and property development projects across a variety of sectors, including high-end private residential, commercial, conservation, and retail schemes throughout all RIBA stages.

He brings a particular expertise and passion for working with historic buildings and challenging, sensitive sites.  Matthew has a meticulous eye for detail and a strong commitment to sustainable design. His approach is rooted in adaptive reuse, transforming existing buildings into functional, contemporary spaces that serve modern needs while respecting their heritage.

Since joining the practice in early 2025, Matthew has been helping the team delve into intricate technical detailing for a number of projects across the domestic, residential, industrial and commercial sectors. 

Outside of work Matthew is a passionate bowler, an occasional golfer and avid traveller – who is especially fond of island hopping in Greece!
