Caribbean villa on a beachfront site in Antigua & Barbuda

Our design for a contemporary Caribbean villa on a beachfront site in Antigua & Barbuda reflects a thoughtful balance between modern architecture and the natural beauty that defines island living.

From the outset, our goal was to create a home that feels refined yet relaxed - a space that responds intuitively to its environment while delivering comfort, clarity, and lasting quality.

In compliance with the Client Brief, the design was conceived as a series of elegant, single-storey pavilions.

The villa is arranged to frame expansive sea views and encourage a seamless connection between indoors and outdoors.

A central courtyard anchors the arrival experience, offering a calm transition into the heart of the home.

Beyond, the pool extends toward the horizon, strengthening the visual dialogue between architecture and ocean.

Each pavilion is carefully organized by function, creating intuitive movement and distinct yet connected living spaces.

Generous roof overhangs and covered walkways provide shade and shelter, enhancing comfort while allowing natural light and ventilation to shape the atmosphere throughout.

Two signature circulation routes run the length of the site between the pavilions, forging a continuous visual connection to the horizon across the Caribbean Sea.

This approach reflects our commitment to our Core Values of Professionalism and Innovation - designing homes that are not only beautiful, but purposeful and enduring.

The result is a contemporary interpretation of the Caribbean vernacular which celebrates its setting through refined and thoughtful design.

P.S. None of this would have been possible without the creativity and hard work of our Associate Directors, Mark Donaghy and Stephanie Else and our architects, Josh Cullerton and Anna Higgisson, who are bringing these ideas to life so beautifully.
