A happy design team leads to a happy client - it’s something we truly believe at Block 9

We’re passionate about creating exceptional physical spaces.

But just as importantly, we’re committed to nurturing a collaborative environment where every consultant feels empowered to explore ideas and contribute meaningfully.

In our experience, the loudest voice is rarely the most valuable. The best outcomes come from mutual respect, open dialogue, and leaving egos at the door.

Our work on the private residential redevelopment of Craigton Smiddy in Luss reflects this approach. When we joined the project, relationships within the team had become strained. We were brought in to help reset and move things forward.

Since then, our focus has been on creating a positive, supportive environment where collaboration can thrive.

Sometimes that means leading from the front; other times, it means stepping back and allowing others the space to do what they do best.

The result has been a stronger, more cohesive team and a design that’s richer for it.

No raised voices, just shared purpose. And we’re getting there.

Special thanks to our amazing client and the following lovely people involved: Laurence McIntosh, Ralph Ogg & Partners, Narro, LightMedium™, Jeffreys Interiors, P. Johnson and Company
