Christopher MacInnes

Architect

Chris completed his Master of Architecture at the University of Dundee in 2021, where his thesis focussed on large-scale theoretical architecture. This foundation continues to inform his approach in practice, with a particular interest in how architecture can affect and interact with people, and how spaces can be utilized throughout the built environment.

Prior to joining Block 9, Chris gained experience in both London and Perth-based studios, contributing to projects across a diverse range of scales and typologies, from private domestic residential projects to hotels and religious buildings throughout the UK.

Since joining the team, Chris has integrated seamlessly into the studio, playing a key role across a number of projects in the UK and the Caribbean. He brings a strong technical expertise alongside a sustained interest in advancing sustainable design strategies within an international context.

Out of the office, Chris can regularly be found on the golf course or playing the bagpipes at weddings across Scotland.
